        What is Coleus forskohlii ?
Coleus forskohlii (also called Plectranthus barbatus and Coleus barbatus) is an aromatic perennial plant belonging to the Lamiaceae (mint) family. It is found in tropical and subtropical regions of the world, including the Indian subcontinent, Thailand, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Egypt. Coleus forskohlii has traditionally been used in Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, and central nervous system disorders. Forskolin, the main bioactive compound in Coleus forskohlii, has been investigated as a potential treatment for asthma, glaucoma, and high blood pressure, as well as a fat burner and test* booster.
What are Coleus forskohlii's main benefits?

The application of eye drops containing 0.3-1% of forskolin (the main bioactive compound in Coleus forskohlii) may cause small reductions in intraocular pressure, suggesting potential therapeutic effects of forskolin in eye disorders involving ocular hypertension, such as glaucoma.Although trials administering forskolin orally in participants with glaucoma have also noted reductions in intraocular pressure, the findings were confounded by simultaneous supplementation with rutin and vitamins B1 and B2.

Limited preliminary clinical research suggests that supplementation with Coleus forskohlii extract or forskolin may reduce the number of asthma attacks in children, protect against methacholine-induced airway restriction in healthy adults, increase test* levels and bone mineral density (BMD) in men with overweight/obesity,and reduce blood pressure and improve body composition and/or metabolic health in older adults and in adults with overweight/obesity.

Findings from some in vitro and animal studies suggest that Coleus forskohlii may have anticancer, antifibrotic, thyroid-stimulating,and anti-inflammatory properties.

Some studies have suggested forskolin, in combination with other supplements, such as rutin and B vitamins, can improve symptoms of glaucoma. However, since only combination supplements were evaluated, it isn't known for certain if forskolin had any effect.

forskolin helps to create more lipase and adenylate cyclase. These two enzymes are involved with the release of fatty acids in the body, allowing them to be used for energy

Product Description

Product Description Coleus forskohlii is distributed in China, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Africa. The whole plant can be used as medicine. Its leaves contain chlorophyll and volatile oil, which can strengthen the heart, lower blood pressure, relieve asthma, resist thrombosis and lower the eye pressure and other pharmacological effects. The active ingredient of Coleus forskohlii extract is forskolin, one of the strongest adenylate cyclase activators known so far, which can directly activate adenylate cyclase and increase the concentration of cyclic adenylate in a variety of tissue cells, thereby participating in the regulation of a variety of cell functions. It is also involved in the formation of important hormones in the body. Forskolin can lower blood pressure, inhibit allergic reactions, promote the secretion of thyroxine, inhibit inflammation caused by platelet activating factor (PAF) 6 and inhibit the spread of cancer cells.
