Mangiferin, a natural polyphenol found in the stem and young leaves of Mangifera indica exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antidiabetic activity (Saha et al., 2016). The pharmacological role of mangiferin is well known in diabetes and its associated complications.
