Liposomes improve the bioavailability and stability of drugs and nutrients, making them easier to be absorbed and utilized by the body, whereas ordinary vitamin C, although more water-soluble, has poorer absorption and stability. In general, liposomal vitamin C is 2-3 times more absorbable than ordinary vitamin C.
Vitamin C liposomes are a new type of drug commonly used in clinical practice for the treatment of connective tissue diseases, hepatitis, atherosclerosis, asthma, chronic nephritis, and lupus erythematosus.

What is liposome?
Liposome refers to a kind of supplement preparation with high bioavailability. The active substance is encapsulated in the middle by the phospholipid bilayer as the carrier. Why choose liposomes?
Because the structure of the phospholipid bilayer is similar to that of the biofilm, the phospholipid bilayer can directly bind to the cell membrane to transport the active substances wrapped in the middle to the cell. For substances that are difficult for the body to absorb and utilize, this form is usually more easily absorbed by the body and allows more supplements to reach specific cells or areas of the body.
And for some unstable oxidized substances, the special structure of the liposome can be used to pack the active substance in a small confined space, reducing the contact with the air to reduce the possibility of oxidation.
Liposome vitamin C is an enhanced form of vitamin designed to achieve better nutrient absorption and utilization in the body. Liposomes are small spherical cells with an outer layer of fatty acids called phospholipids extracted from sunflower or soy. Liposomes also have an internal compartment composed of water and water-soluble active ingredients. Water-soluble components such as vitamin C are protected in the inner compartment by liposome structures.
The main advantage of liposome vitamin C is improved absorption. There is a threshold to the ability of our gut cells to take up higher doses of vitamin C. This is why consuming higher doses of vitamin C can lead to excessive gas production and/or diarrhea. The bioavailability of liposomal vitamin C is significantly higher than that of regular vitamin C, almost twice that of regular vitamin C. Oral liposomal vitamin C is often recommended as an alternative to intravenous vitamin C (IV).
